Queens Building Queens
Mentorship With Purpose
What is Queens Building Queens Mentoring Program?
Queens Building Queens strives to educate, uplift, and build connection through mentorship. By placing an emphasis on leadership skills, mental health, financial literacy, and etiquette, QBQ prepares its mentees by equipping them with life skills that are necessary for adulthood.

A Distinct Identity
Queens Building Queens knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. In 2019 our Nonprofit Organization realized that by working together we could overcome the challenges of our community much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Queens Building Queens.
In our society, opportunity is not equally distributed; therefore, it is the goal of Queens Building Queens (QBQ) to provide transformational programming that allows for opportunities for women of color. Our mentorship program equips young women with education, mental health supports, service opportunities, and relationship building to help them become successful and productive citizens. We have a responsive integrated approach that allows mentors to pour into youth and the community and in-turn the youth pour into themselves and their respective communities. QBQ routinely hosts community events and provides supports for the community such as human trafficking awareness, self-defense classes, and food giveaways for single mothers among other experiences. We have a volunteer mental health case-worker and volunteer educational diagnostician to help students navigate issues that they may be presented with through work, vocation, or home. We are committed to providing multi-faceted opportunities as they are the cornerstone of success.
